Well woke up this morning feeling like hell. I had to make some tough choices. First was to try to go on, the way I am feeling that is not happening. So now on to choice 2 should I stay put and see if I feel any better tomorrow. I decided to check what abandoning the trip looked like and I could not catch the train until Monday, 4 days of eating out and hotel does not sound like a good option. I called Enterprise and can get a car from Paso to Watsonville for a reasonable price. I choose the rental car option. Rode over to Enterprise and picked up the car then straight to Rite Aid and got lots-o-cold meds and a COVID test. COVID test was negative.

Four hour drive and I am in Watsonville, Michael came to pick me up. I also picked up masks at Rite Aid. Got back to his house and curled up in the guest room, still feeling like hell. Thursday morning got up after 12 straight hours of sleep still feeling like hell. Five hour drive back to Truckee, good to be home.

Crappy end to my trip but made the right decision on getting home.
